“ready for a new concept in skin and full body care
- Loraine Doherty

I have heard that I cant go in the sun after having an exfoliation treatment, is that right?

Yes, you should always be careful with your skin in the sun. Normally it is recommended that you stay out of the sun for up to 7 days after treatment as it takes a few days to build up the epidermis again after treatment.

Will I have any redness after the Microdermabrasion treatment and can I apply makeup straight away?

You will be slightly pink after the treatment of course dependent on your skin type. The only things you have to be aware of is not to go swimming and don’t use a product with AHA in directly after the treatment as both of these can cause a skin reaction. Make up can be applied straight away. (although its best if you can leave the are for a few hours without)

Does the IPL treatment hurt?

Yes, its hot. Dependent on your tolerance levels it can be slightly uncomfortable to very uncomfortable. With the Hair Removal it also depends on the density of the hair and the colour of the hair meaning the darker the hair and the more dense it is the more light is pulled into the hair follicle causing more heat to the area. Remember the hair needs to get up to 72% f for it to work properly.

When will I see a result with the hair growth?

The hairs fall out between 2-4 weeks the normal time for return treatments depends on the area treated but with facial hair its 6-8 weeks and the back 12-16 weeks intervals. Normally 4-6 treatments are required dependent on hair growth. Remember the finer the hair the longer it takes to go.

With cellulite treatments will I have to diet as well?

The cellulite ultrasound we use is to break down the calcified deposits and you will need to drink water and to do a jumping exercise to help the body excrete the toxins that are released. It would help if you can watch what you are eating and drinking such as cutting down on alcohol coffee and tea. Remember to eat more vegetables and fruit rather than cakes and biscuits. But all this is general knowledge really. The treatments works without hard diets.
